Frankie Webb, who is from Anniston and now lives in Birmingham, said her grandson met Hallel H.P. a while ago at one of the artist’s youth ministries. Webb said she and her grandson were inspired by Hallel H.P.’s music and a friendship was born.
“I asked my grandson what his one wish would be for his birthday and he said he wanted Hallel to be there,” Webb said.
Once Hallel agreed to perform at Eubanks’ party, Webb insisted her grandson wanted to share the experience and his excitement with other children in the community.
“If he touched my grandson in such a special way, then he can touch other children at this party,” Webb said. “I saw what he does and children in Anniston need to see something positive. We want the churches to bring their youth members also.”
Typical of most birthday parties, people can expect cake and drinks, but the music will be something fresh and inspiring. With a sound system donated by Pooh’s Barber Shop, located directly across Zinn Park, Hallel H.P. said audiences can expect the unexpected.
“It will be eclectic sounds glorified,” Hallel H.P. said. “There will be a fusion of all things that sound good and a collage of different genres. It’s my own musical gumbo of rap, R&B, hymns, bluegrass, country, classical and jazz music.”
Hallel H.P. will be assisted by his brother, Coel, who plays the electric violin. Hallel H.P. said the audience has the opportunity to get involved during certain performances where crowd participation is encouraged.
“God gives us gifts for the large and main stage, but we have to realize what that main stage is,” Hallel H.P. said. “It’s not always about a concert with 10,000 people. For me, the largest stage is this concert for Ty on Friday.”
“If children and teenagers are exposed to this young man, it will be a blessing from God and a seed will be planted,” Webb said. “The birthday party will be fun, and even though it’s rap and hip-hop, it’s all about Jesus. Hallel is so anointed and God services through him, and he, in turn, glorifies God through the things he accomplishes like inspiring my grandson and performing at his party.”
