Trae Dunson

Handley • Jr. • 5-10, 135 • G
Parents: Tyronica Dunson
The Skinny: Dunson was fourth-ranked Handley’s leading scorer at 15 points per game. He also logged three rebounds and three assists. The Tigers lost by five points to the eventual state champion in the semis of the Central regional tournament.

Jacob Twymon

Talladega • Sr. • 6-3, 170 • G
Parents: Jacob and Donna Twymon
The Skinny: An honorable mention to Class 5A all-state squad, Twymon led the Tigers in scoring with 15 points, nearly five rebounds and three assists as they advanced to the Central regional tournament.

Dontae Barrett

Randolph County • 6-0, 197 • Jr. • G
Parents: Pycilla Thomas
The Skinny: Barrett led the Wildcats, who were ranked in the top 10 for much of the season, with 17 points and 6.8 rebounds.

KiJana Lindsay

Ragland • So. • 5-11, 150 • G
Parents: James and Keya Lindsay
The Skinny: Led the Purple Devils in scoring, averaging 13.4 points while adding 3.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 4.6 steals to help them reach the regional final for the first time in 15 years.

Demetrius Lindsey

Lineville • 5-11, 170 • G
Parents: Darlene and Regis Lindsey
The Skinny: As athletic a guard as you’ll find at the 2A level, Lindsey filled out the stat sheet nicely in his senior season with 12.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists a contest.

Talladega County Central • Sr. • 6-3, 245 • G
Parents: Sindy and Tony Garrett
The Skinny: Garrett, a Jackson St. (Miss.) football signee, averaged 17.8 points and 7.2 rebounds a game for a solid TCC squad.

Parents: Terry and Cathy Parks
The Skinny: Parks took over the Lions primary scoring duties after the departure of former Fab 5 selection Zach Owens and lead the team with 14 points per game to go along with four rebounds. Faith Christian went 20-10 on the season.

Stuart Emerson

Faith Christian • Sr. • 6-0, 180 • G/F
Parents: David and Amy Emerson
The Skinny: Emerson went for 10 points and six rebounds a game while shooting 57 percent from the field.

Kevion Nolan

Sacred Heart • 7th • 5-3, 103 • G
Parents: Kevin and Fatima Nolan
The Skinny: The 12-year-old showed why he’s rated one of the nation’s best for his age with 14.3 points and three rebounds a game. Hit 70 3-pointers this past season and scored a career-best 32 points in the Class 1A, Area 10 semifinals against JCA.

Sacred Heart • 7th • 5-11, 165 • G
Parents: Elienna Heath and Jeff Jackson
The Skinny: Also ranked among the nation’s best in his class, Heath already has the size of a player much older. And he played like one to, averaging 13.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.3 steals. Named Class 1A, Area 10 tournament MVP.

Caleb Vice

Ohatchee • Sr. • 6-2, 190 • F
Parents: BJ Vice and Tiffany Martin
The Skinny: A versatile athlete, Vice averaged 13.8 points and 6.8 rebounds a game for first-year coach Casey Howell.

Matthew Overton

Donoho • Sr. • 5-8, 190 • G
Parents: Dyron Overton
The Skinny: Overton averaged 8.6 points, two rebounds and two assists for the Falcons. He was also a stellar free-throw shooter, knocking down more than 75 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe.

Sloan Garner

Piedmont • Sr. • 6-6, 185 • C
Parents: April Doss and Dewayne Garner
The Skinny: The North-South game selection averaged a double-double at nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds while leading the Bulldogs to the Northeast Regional final. He was a major deterrent on defense with 107 blocks. Second-team all-state choice.

Wellborn • Sr. • 5-11, 175 • G
Parents: Keith and Kim Screws
The Skinny: The Jacksonville State football signee led the Panthers with 19.2 points per game to go along with five assists and 2.8 steals.

Chris English

Weaver • So. • 5-9, 145 • G
Parents: Eurica Perkins and Dujuan Perkins
The Skinny: Already a two-time selection to the all-county team, English averaged 21.8 points a game and about five rebounds to lead the Bearcats. He was also a second team all-state choice.

Jaylen Hill

White Plains • Jr. • 6-1, 170 • C
Parents: Jeannie Jones
The Skinny: Hill showed off a potent post game all season long, putting up 18 points and close to 10 boards a contest. Hill had four games of 30 points or more.

Trevor Ford

Piedmont • Sr. • 6-0, 160 • G
Parents: Jeff Ford and Sandra Akin
The Skinny: Ford was a sharpshooter in coach Tommy Miller’s offense, leading the team with 64 3-pointers made, two a game. The all Northeast Regional tournament selection averaged 13.7 points and 4.2 rebounds.

Xavier Morgan

Saks • Sr. • 6-1, 195 • F
Parents: Tony and Tara Hunley
The Skinny: Morgan was Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside for the Wildcats, handling smaller defenders in the paint and scoring on bigger ones from the perimeter to the tune of 15 points and seven rebounds a night.

Parents: Linda Edmondson and Willie Thomas
The Skinny: Edmondson had a stellar season individually despite his team’s surprising exit in the first round of the Class 4A, Area 10 tournament. He averaged 17 points and five assists on his way to being named to a first-team selection to the all-state team. Holds offers from St. Andrews (N.C.) and Snead St. Community College.

Denzel Roberts

Anniston • Sr. • 6-2, 183 • F
Parents: Cassandra Roberts and Demetric Roberts
The Skinny: Roberts was a presence inside for the Bulldogs, averaging a double-double at 10.3 points and 10 rebounds a game. Signed a football scholarship with Ft. Scott Community College (Kan.).

Blake Jones

Alexandria • Sr. 6-2, 165 • C
Parents: Tracie Jones and Lee Jones
The Skinny: Jones had an ultra productive senior season, averaging 15.7 points while pulling down 7.2 rebounds a contest. He also shot an eye-popping 65 percent from the field.

Justin Lawler

Oxford • Jr. • 5-10, 155 • G
Parents: Raynard and Jackie Lawler
The Skinny: Lawler makes his second appearance on the second-team after averaging close to 10 points, 3.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 steals to help Oxford repeat as county champs.

Des Curry

Jacksonville • Jr. 5-11, 153 • G
Parents: Topaz Brockman and Benjamin Curry
The Skinny: Curry was second on the team in scoring with 13.7 points a contest and four rebounds while adding a pair of assists and a pair of rebounds per.

Tyler Ross

Parents: Willie and Caroline Ross
The Skinny: Ross led the Golden Eagles, the 4A, Area 10 champs, with 15.5 points per game to go along with 7.7 rebounds.
