The opening game, a scheduled seven-inning affair, went to ten innings and was capped by Oxford product Saxon Butler's walk-off RBI, knocking in another Oxford product, Jono Waugh, to give the Big Train a 2-1 win. Butler went 3-for-5 with both of the Big Train's RBIs. Byne Goodin went 2-for-4 and Joey Moehler picked up the win on the mound.
East Alabama had a much easier time of it in the second game, beating the Braves 13-5.
Waugh went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and two runs. Butler was 2-for-3 with two runs and Byne was 2-for-4 with two runs and four RBIs. Reliever Adam Polston got the win.
