Bessemer woman struck by train, killed
A Bessemer woman died early Sunday after she was hit by a train while walking down the tracks.
Sherry Freeman, 55, was struck at 1 a.m. at 9th Street crossing of Norfolk-Southern, said Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Pat Curry.
