While I was secretary to the Regional Medical Center Board of Directors for 32 years, I saw many board members come and go. One board member in particular, Vaughn Stewart, stands out in my mind. I knew from day one that he was a man of integrity and someone who could get things done.

All the RMC board members receive large packets of materials to review before a meeting. You could tell Vaughn had done his homework because he always came in thoroughly familiar with the contents. It was apparent that he had studied and thought them through. What was even more impressive was the way Vaughn handled himself in the meetings. He did not talk very much but did a lot of listening. When he did speak, his words were well thought out, useful to the decisions being made, and indicative that he had heard the other points of view. Vaughn had the ability to pull everything together.

In my opinion, Anniston needs the kind of person Vaughn Stewart has proven to be. He will make a believer out of you just as he did me. Please help me elect the best candidate, Vaughn Stewart, mayor of Anniston.
