Auburn spends nearly $3M on BCS national championship trip
Ever wonder how much it would cost to get a football team, coaching staff, school officials, cheerleaders and a band to a national championship and keep them there for up to nine days?
About $3 million.
Auburn spent $2,901,706 on its nine-day trip to Glendale, Ariz., in early January according to a summary of bowl expenses provided by the university to the Opelika-Auburn News on Thursday.
