Ariz. shooting not altering Ala. lawmakers' schedule plans

Alabama lawmakers said they plan no changes in their public-appearance schedules in response to Saturday's shooting rampage in Arizona that left a congresswoman severely wounded.

"There are risks inherent in public service," Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Mobile, said in a statement Monday. "While reasonable caution is required, those risks cannot be eliminated."
