Two employees at the restaurant called police Sunday night around 9:30 p.m. to say they’d been robbed at gunpoint by a man wearing a black knit cap pulled over his face, Anniston police Sgt. Josh Doggrell said this morning. The police report said the man arrived and left on foot, and no one else was in the restaurant during the crime. No one was injured.
The restaurant was robbed in similar fashion over the Labor Day weekend. In both instances, an employee had stepped outside when a masked assailant with a gun approached and ordered the employee back inside to give him money.
Doggrell said while the descriptions of the suspects were vague due to the concealment of the face, it’s possible the crimes are connected.
