Anniston police are investigating an alleged assault on Rocky Hollow Road involving a pocketknife from Wednesday night.

A 23-year-old male victim told police he was walking on the road before 10 p.m. when he encountered a man he knew and began to argue with him about money, according to Anniston police Sgt. Josh Doggrell.

The man said the two got into a physical fight and the suspect pulled out a pocketknife, cutting the victim on his left forearm, according to a police report.

Doggrell said the victim was treated for minor injuries at Stringfellow Hospital and was released that night. Police are still investigating the incident.
