Police are investigating an armed robbery of a video game store Sunday in Anniston.

A masked man carrying a handgun made off with cash and electronics at Replays on South Quintard Avenue around 3 p.m. Sunday, Anniston police said.

A police report said the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, a Sony Playstation, Sony PSP and the business’ cordless phone. The report said the man left the store on foot.

Anniston police Sgt. Josh Doggrell said it was possible the suspect had robbed the store before. In a robbery earlier this year, a masked man took cash, electronics and the phone from the video game store before leaving on foot.

No customers were in the store at the time of the robbery, Doggrell said.

Doggrell said investigators will examine items from the crime scene today in search of evidence.
