Exavyer Jackson

Jr., 5-9, 267


Noteworthy: Jackson won shot put at county and continued his success in the Class 3A state meet. He took third place at the highest level, helping Piedmont win the state championship.

Chantz Goodman

Jr., 5-7, 165


Noteworthy: Goodman won the 200-meter dash at county and finished second in the 100. The junior, who plays wingback for the football team, finished sixth in the 600 meter and 12th in the 200 at state.

Olajade Brown

Soph., 5-10, 150


Noteworthy: Brown showed his talents in multiple events, winning the 400-meter dash in the county meet and tying for 15th in high jump at the Class 6A state meet.

Jacob Schwyn

Sr., 5-5, 125


Noteworthy: Schwyn led the Yellow Jackets at county, winning the 800 and 1600 while also contributing to a win in the 4-by-400. At state, Schwyn finished seventh in the 800 and eighth in the 1600.

Denard Spears

Soph., 5-8, 155


Noteworthy: Spears shined bright at the Class 3A state meet, winning the 100-meter dash and running as the final leg on Piedmont’s 4-by-100 championship team. Spears also finished eighth in the long jump.

Matthew Bonds

Jr., 5-9, 145

Pleasant Valley

Noteworthy: Bonds dominated throughout the season, including at the state level. He won the Class 2A state championship in the 1600 and 3200. He won the 3200 at county, as well.

Dale Reddick

Sr., 5-11, 175

White Plains

Noteworthy: Reddick ended his career at White Plains with a state appearance, finishing 11th in the 300-meter hurdles. He won the 110 hurdles at the county meet.

Isaiah Simmons

Soph., 5-11, 152


Noteworthy: Simmons won the 300-meter hurdles at the county meet and continued his success at the Class 3A state meet, where he finished sixth.

Chase Keener

Fr., 5-9, 147


Noteworthy: Keener earned the title as best pole vaulter in Calhoun County. He won the event and later placed seventh at the state meet.

Jaylyn Spinks

Jr., 5-9, 160


Noteworthy: Spinks outperformed a heavy field of long jumpers at the county meet to win the event. He responded at the Class 2A state meet with a 13th-place finish.

Will Curry

Jr., 5-9, 160


Noteworthy: Curry won triple jump at the county meet and followed up with a 14th-place finish in the Class 3A state meet. He also finished 11th in the triple jump.

Kenyn Richey

Jr., 6-0, 290


Noteworthy: Richey nearly won the shot put and discus throws at county, finishing second and third, respectively. At state, he finished 13th in shot put and 15th in the discus.

Jamie Major

Sr., 6-2, 226


Noteworthy: Major broke onto the scene at county and won the javelin, later finishing second at the state meet. The Samford football signee also ran the first leg of the state championship 4-by-100 relay.
