The Gadsden Times reports on the tornado that came through Albertville on Saturday.

After the crews’ detailed study of certain aspects of the event it was determined the storm was a F3 tornado on the Enhanced Fujita scale. The scale factors wind speeds and damage to determine the strength of a tornado.

Saturday night’s storm was estimated to have maximum winds of 140 mph, while the tornado had a path of damage that was 3/4 of a mile wide.
