Alabama commitment Deon Johnson has been booked for second degree felony rape and sodomy, according to the Baldwin County Sherriff's office website.

Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 183-pound Spanish Fort High receiver who is rated the 13th best player in the state by Rivals.com.

The 18-year-old was booked into the Baldwin County Corrections Center on Thursday at 8:43 p.m., according to the website. His bond is $20,000, and the website shows his status as "released."

The charges were made by the Daphne Police Department.

Lieutenant Jud Beedy told WALA-TV of Mobile the victim was a juvenile and the alleged crime happened in the Daphne police jurisdiction.
