“Our planning committee decided that an event like ‘The Eve’ needed a signature drink,” said Kate Van Meter of YLS. The committee knew it wanted a blue cocktail — blue being the unofficial color of YLS. And the committee wanted something a little edgy.
They met with the bartender at the Hilton Garden Inn and tried out different drinks. They sampled margaritas and martinis (a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it), before decided on “The Resolution.”
Try one for yourself, and ring in 2012 with a cherry on top.
THE RESOLUTION
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce Blue Curacao liqueur
Lemonade
1 cherry
Ice
Pour vodka and Curacao over ice in a highball glass. Fill with lemonade. Top with cherry and serve.
