We had a fatal accident May 9 on Morrisville Road. It would seem that this accident should get someone’s attention. This is a very dangerous road. And this is just down the street from my home.

People speed up and this road all day, every day. I would suggest that a camera be put in place to catch speeders and also the ones who want to drive on the wrong side of the road.

The thing that gets me is this was very close to the time that school buses come down the road, and it could have easily been children who were harmed from the carelessness of others.

To the Anniston City Council and Calhoun County Commissioner Eli Henderson, pay attention to the needs of the people. Keep our roads safe for us. This is another idea for the county and the city to make money, too. So everyone wins.
