While I do not live in the city limits of Anniston, I have applauded the positive actions of the City Council. When I saw the announcement of the Anniston Farmers Market under the guidance of Jean Ann Oglesby, I knew it would be well done.

My wife and I have attended most, if not all, of the open dates, and we have nothing but praise for the efforts of the vendors and staff in bringing this market to this region. Do I think it is perfect in every aspect? No, but this first effort is very commendable. It would be interesting to survey the attendees and vendors for their input into what, hopefully, will be future markets.
