ADAMSON

LINEVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice M. Adamson, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Lineville Church of Christ with Scott Latham and Jamie Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Christian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Adamson passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008, at the Clay County Hospital. She was a native of Randolph County, but had lived most of her in life in Clay County, retired from Higgins Manufacturing Company and was a Caretaker. She was a member of Campbell Springs Church of Christ. She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Hanner (Mike), of Shelby, Ala.; four sons, Bobby Adamson (Cathy) and Jimmy Adamson (Jelima), of Lineville, Curtis Adamson (Sarah), of Ashland, Roy Adamson (Donna), of Lineville; five sisters, Ozeal Smith and Margaret Turner, of Heflin, Reba Horn (James), of Lineville, Dot Carmack (Ish), of Talladega, Annie Latham (Edward), of Lineville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlis C. Adamson.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Brimer, Paul Lipham, Albert Baker, Clint Jones, Mike Hanner and Evan Walker. Flowers will be accepted, however Memorial Contributions may be made to the Clay County Rescue Squad, Lineville Fire Department or charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5 to 8 tonight, August 26, 2008, and until service time on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. OHATCHEE — Mr. Donald Wayne Doss, 60, of Ohatchee, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 24, 2008, at his home. The family invites friends to visitation this evening from 6-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mr. Doss is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Simpson Doss, of Ohatchee; his daughter, Kelly Barbe and her husband Andy, of Alexandria; his son, Dustin Doss, of Ohatchee and two precious granddaughters, Karly and Kadey Barbe, of Alexandria. Mr. Doss is a native of Calhoun County and lived in Ohatchee for the past 32 years. He spent most of his life as a truck driver, he was a proud and devoted dad and loving "Paw Paw". Mr. Doss was preceded in death by his parents, The Rev. and Mrs. Lester Doss; brothers, Ellis and Dane Doss; sister, Carolyn and daughter, Kerry Doss. PIEDMONT — Services for Eunice Erwin, 73, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

JACKSONVILLE — Funeral service for William Louis Hale, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 this evening. Mr. Hale died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lanell Thompson Hale, of Jacksonville; three daughters, Kathy Hale Beal and her husband Earl, of Timberlake, N.C., Teresa Martin Smith, of Hokes Bluff and Michelle Hale Dean and her husband Phillip, of Jacksonville; four sisters, Lois Murray, of Oxford, Jo Phillips, of Cook Springs, Nell Nelson and her husband Frank, of Guntersville and Peggy Crow Young and her husband Harold, of Anniston; a brother, Millard Hale and his wife Mickie, of Glencoe; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hale and Louise Hale, both of Huntsville; grandchildren, Justin (Cheryl) Beal, Amanda Martin (Josh) Edmondson, Jessica Martin Haney, Amy Martin, Andrea Smith, Breanna Sanford, Kyleigh Hale Johnson, Russell Dean and Alex Dean; great-grandchildren, Gena Huff, Dillon and Ethan Edmonson, Wesley, Hayden and Megan Haney, Waylon Wagner, and Tori, Kinley and Cambre Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, grandsons-in-law, nephews and Stuart Thompson. Mr. Hale was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of West Point Baptist Church. He was pthe Reviously employed at Alabama Water Pipe and retired from AOD. He was preceded in death by a son, Louis Allen Hale; his parents, S.T. and Amanda Hale; a sister, Dorothy Hale; and three brothers, Nelson, Clinton and Roy Eugene Hale.
