MOBILE — Funeral services for Mr. Chalmas Guy Coleman, 87, of Mobile, formerly of Calhoun County, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2008, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverend Jim Simpson officiating and entombment following at Forestlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Mr. Coleman passed away after a long illness on Friday, August 22, 2008 at his residence in Mobile, Ala., surrounded by loved ones. Mr. Coleman lived most of his life in Calhoun County. He was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corp veteran and was retired from the State of Alabama. He and his wife also owned and operated the Coleman Carpet Center in Anniston. Mr. Coleman was a member of the Anniston Civitan Club, where he served as the Club President for a year. Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Coleman; daughter, Judy Coleman Fleischamel; brother, Rudolph M. Coleman; and three grandchildren, Andrew Fleischamel, Scott Fleischamel and Holly Fleischamel Moody.

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Janie H. Crenshaw, 64, will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2008, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Sonny Champion and the Rev. James Woodin officiating. Burial will be in the Dogwoods Trail Memorial Gardens. The family will receive from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home. Ms. Crenshaw died Friday at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Larry C. Crenshaw; daughter, Deborah L. Woodin; and daughter, Karen R. Gard; son, Jimmy H. Wilburn Jr.; daughter, Wendy N. Crenshaw; daughter, Heather D. Addis; brother, Robert L. Smith; sister, Carol A. Maione; sister, Irene Cook; aunt, Evelyn Fowler; aunt, Claudia Yaple; and nine grandchildren. Ms. Crenshaw was a resident of Anniston for the past 17 years. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. OXFORD — Funeral services for Charles E. Kelley, 58 of Oxford, will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2008, at Concord Baptist Church in Cleburne County with the Rev. Randall Moore and the Rev. Lewis Roszell officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before service time at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 this evening at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Kelley died Friday at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Roszell Kelley; two daughters, Angie McHugh and her husband Rob, and Wendy Sprayberry and her husband Victor; six grandchildren; Colby Kelley, Kalee Easterwood, Braxton Sprayberry, Addye Sprayberry, Ridge McHugh and Cove McHugh; two brothers, Frank Anderson and Terry Kelley.
Pallbearers will be Jody Roszell, Brian Roszell, Scott Roszell, Richie Anderson, Robby Benefield and Frank Hagan. Mr. Kelley was a resident of Oxford and a member of Concord Baptist Church and work at Anniston Army Depot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie J. and Edna Kelley; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Louise Roszell; a brother, William Anderson. WEAVER — Memorial service for Mrs. Delilah Payne "Dee" Mays, 83, will be Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Weaver Church of Christ with the Minister Clyde Ray officiating. ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Smith, 84, of Anniston, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Gary Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith died August 23, 2008, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include, daughters, Donna Pinson and husband, Keith, Marcia Contine and husband, Dan, and Joan Street and husband, Melvin; son, Kenneth Sumners and wife, Patricia; grandchild, Amanda Black; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon Smith; parents, Monroe Champion and Mary Jones. Mrs. Smith was born in Haran, Ky., and lived her adult life in Etowah and Calhoun County. Mr. Woodall went to be with the Lord Friday, August 22, 2008 at his home in Jacksonville. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Geraldine Smith Woodall; two brothers, Gary (Wanda) Woodall, of Wellington; Ricky (Bekki) Woodall, of Oxford; and 11 nieces and six nephews; Alicia Austin, niece and Al Coone, nephew, were especially fortunate to have shared a special closeness with their "Uncle Tommy." He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl L. Woodall and Ruby McFall Woodall.
Pallbearers will be Gary Woodall, Ricky Woodall, Joe Austin, Henry Smith, Harold Smith and Jim Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers from the Anniston Army Depot. Tommy was born March 25, 1945 in Anniston, graduated from Jacksonville High School and was a life-long resident of Jacksonville. He co-owned Armstrong Florist in Jacksonville with his wife, Geraldine. He was employed with Anniston Army Depot for 26 years, was a Vietnam Veteran, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Tommy will be remembered for his gentle spirit and his love of Alabama Football, but more importantly for his role as a loving husband, brother, uncle and brother-in-law.
