TALLADEGA — Funeral services for Mary Barclay, 90, will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary. Mrs. Barclay died Friday at Talladega Healthcare Center.

CHATMAN

LEESBURG — Funeral services for the Cheryl Lynne Chatman, 46, will be at 2 today at Perry Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12-2 today.

GLADDEN

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mr. Harold Gladden, 53, will be announced by Ervin Funeral Chapel. Mr. Gladden died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Stringfellow Hospital.

KOONTZ

HUNTSVILLE — Kevin Douglas Koontz, 28, passed away Saturday August 9, 2008 at Huntsville Hospital. He was the owner of Modern Renovation Concepts. Kevin was loved by many who will miss his beautiful smile, his laugh and his sense of humor. He has touched and fothe Rever changed many lives. Kevin always said, "Give until it hurts, then keep giving." He was the most giving, compassionate and loving person. The work of his hands amazed those around him. He was a wonderful daddy who loved his boys dearly. His boys looked up at him with a sparkle in their eyes. Kevin, we know where you are now. Your will fothe Rever be loved and missed. Promise. Promise. Survived by his wife, Traci Koontz; sons, Tthe Revin Koontz and Tristen Koontz; parents, Don and Buffa Koontz; brother, Mark Koontz, all of Huntsville; sisters, Carrie Kincade of Hawaii and Sheree Koontz of Leland, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Coy Hallmark and Dr. Larry Riddle officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park, Florence, Alabama.

MARTIN

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mr. William Martin Sr., 80, will be announced by Ervin Funeral Chapel. Mr. Martin died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center.

MOORE

PISGAH — Mr. Roy A. Moore, 72, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. His funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, in Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev's Clinton Graham and Jimmy Shankles officiating. Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Cemetery at Pisgah. Visitation will be from 5-9 this evening and Friday 9 a.m. until time of service.

Survivors include, wife, Geraldine Moore, of Pisgah; sons, Jim Moore, of Atlanta, Ga., Artie Moore, of Oxford and Buddy Moore, of Huntsville; daughters, Barbara brown, of Higdon, Joyce Craighead, of Henager, Annette Parker, of Cummings, Ga., LaMerle Hubbard, of Albertville, Lynn McComb, of Oxford, and Leigh Moore, of Pell City; brother, Vernell Moore, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sister, Dorothy Whitmire, of Spring City, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ROANOKE — Graveside services for Miss Carey Beth Taylor, 77, will be 2 p.m. today from the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

THOMAS

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Willie Mae Thomas, 76, will be announced by Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mrs. Thomas died August 13, 2008 at Regional Medical Center.

VANDEVER

ANNISTON — Graveside services for Louella Mullen Vandever, 94, formerly of West Grove, Pa., will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA.

WILSON

ANNISTON — Funeral services for George W. Wilson, Jr., 58, will be Friday, August 15, 2008 at 11 a.m., at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Whites Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 this evening. Mr. Wilson died Monday, August 11, 2008, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his former wife, Regina Wilson; two daughters, Shannon (Derek) Cannon and Leslie Wilson, all of Jacksonville; four sons, Matthew (Gina) Wilson, of Jacksonville, Christopher Wilson, of Tuscaloosa, Austin Wilson, of Anniston and Christian Wilson, of Mississippi; three sisters, Patricia (Doug) Fritts, of Plymouth, Mass., Deborah (Daniel) Kimborowicz and of Hingham, Mass. and Mary Beth (Hank) Bueniewicz, of Oviedo, Fla.; four brothers, Robert (Maggie) Wilson, of Masphpee, Mass., Thomas Wilson, of Port Orange, Fla., Donald (Leslie) Wilson, of Florida, and Andrew Wilson, of Arizona; five grandchildren, Tyler, Torren, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn and Tristan; a special niece, Julie Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George Wilson, Sr. and Mary Wilson and a son, George Michael Wilson.

Pallbearers will be James Ramey, Ray Pledger, Kevin Sells, J.J. Taylor, Frank Whaley and Mike Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Patterson, Danny Sweet, Jimmy Woods, Jerry Gardner, Ronnie Trapenstead, Scottie Greenwood, Wayne Smith, Jim McGill, The CDL Connections, The Social Club, and the On The River Club. A special thanks to Jenny Pickette. George was an avid basketball player. He set a U.S. Marathon record in Massachusetts on May 2, 1966. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He served as Post Commander of the American Legion Post #157 in Jacksonville. A die hard Red Sox fan, he loved life and people and was a friend to many.
