CEDAR BLUFF — A memorial service for Mr. Vernon Crowe, 77, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gaylesville United Methodist Church Perry Funeral Home in charge.

ROANOKE — Funeral services for Alma Christine Cunningham, 92, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Home Christian Church. Visitation 5-8 tonight at Quattlebaum Funeral Home.

GILLIAND

OHATCHEE — Mrs. Vera Doris Gilliand, 64, died Monday, July 21, 2008, in Eastaboga. Mrs. Gilliand attended Coldwater Congregational Holiness Church. She enjoyed sitting with the elderly. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Eugene Rich.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Gilliand Jr., of Ohatchee; sons, Raymond Rich Jr., of Leeds, Kenneth Ray Rich, of Ohatchee, Charles Anthony (Amy) Rich, of Moody; stepdaughters, Tammie (Chuck) Hardy, of LaGrange, Ga., Sandra (Mike) Sciacca, of Pace, Fla.; sisters, Gladys (Foley) Rich, of Pell City, Sue (Harold) Clayburn, of Ohatchee, Ann (Charlie) Jackson, of Oxford; brothers, Everett Ledbetter, of Ohatchee, William Ledbetter, of Canon City, Colo., Gerald (Shelby) Ledbetter, Ga., Earl Ledbetter, of Oxford, David (Ranna) Ledbetter, of Weaver, Leland (Cheryl) Ledbetter, of Oxford, Dennis Ledbetter, of Oxford; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, July 31, 2008, at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel — Pell City with the Rev. Gerald Clark and the Rev. William Thomas officiating.

LINCOLN — Mr. Mark T. McCluney, 40, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at St. Vincent's Hospital. Sims Funeral Service will announce arrangements.

ROCHESTER

LEESBURG — Funeral services for Kimberly Ann Rochester, 48, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. this evening.

SHERRILL

PIEDMONT — Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha L. Sherrill will be at 3 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008, at the Thankful Baptist Church in Piedmont with the Rev. Cedric Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Piedmont Memory Gardens in Piedmont with Anniston Funeral services in charge. The family will receive friends at the church this evening, July 31, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. Mrs. Sherrill died on July 28, 2008 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Survivors include her children, Frank Sherrill II, Candi Lynn, Tracie Ann and Marchell Sherrill, all of Piedmont, Mae Doris Wilson, of Huntsville, and Carolyn Thomas, of Florida; five sisters, Johnnie (Samuel Ball), of Atlanta, Ga., Earlese Culberson, of Rome, Ga., Brenda (Henry) Lawler, Vicky (James) Jackson, Myra (Vincent) Cottrell, all of Piedmont; one brother, George (Marie) Johnson, of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Kelli and Dreshawn.
