AUGUSTA, Ga. — Funeral service for MSG (Ret.). Melven G. Banner, age 65, of Augusta, Ga., formerly of Anniston, will be 1:00 p.m.(CST), Monday, July 28, 2008, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Pastors Russell Hestley, and Sloan Gresham officiating. Chapel Hill Funeral Home will be in charge of service. Mr. Banner is survived by his wife, Bettie Jean Banner; sons, Richard J. Rodriguez and wife Gerri, Johnny M. Rodriguez and wife Cindy, Stephen R. Rodriguez and wife Jane, Kenneth P. Rodriguez and wife Sheila and Christopher G. Banner, two sisters, Lorene Lawter and Wanda Lamborn, nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mr. Banner was a native of Weatherford, Oklahoma and had lived in Anniston while stationed at Fort McClellan. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Saks. Mr. Banner proudly served his country for 20 years in the Army, upon retiring from the Army, Mr. Banner worked for 22 years in civil service. NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Kenneth (Kenny) Watson Chatman Jr., 35, died July 18, 2008. Parents are Norma Chatman of Nashville, Tenn. and Kenneth Watson Chatman Sr., of Anniston. Surviving grandparents are Ruth Watson Cummins and Jim Cummins of Anniston. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park with West Harpeth Funeral Home Nashville, Tenn. Father Manning from All Saints Episcopal Church, where Kenny was a member, officiated. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding horses. OXFORD — Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Ivey Dunn, 80, will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with interment following at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening at the Funeral home. Mrs. Dunn died July 25, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Oxford. Mrs. Dunn was a native of Anniston but had lived in Oxford most of her life. She was a 1946 graduate of Oxford High School. She had retired as a Registered Nurse after 25 years. She was a member of Oxford First United Methodist Church where she served in many different capacities such as the United Methodist Women and a teacher in Sunday School. Mrs. Dunn had also received her Associate's Degree from the Moody Bible Institute. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Frank Dunn of Oxford; sons, Phillip Keith Dunn and his wife, Peggy, of Oxford and William Frank Dunn and his wife, Libby, of Huntsville; and grandchildren, Dallas Dunn and his wife, Andrea, of Breman, Ga., Whitney Davis and her husband, Tim, and Lauren Dunn. LOCKETT-MONEY

ATLANTA, Ga. — Funeral services for Phyllis Lockett Money, 38, were held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Christians For Change Baptist Church in Riverdale, Ga. with the Reverend Michael Baldwin officiating. Mrs. Money died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at her home in Atlanta. She was formerly of Anniston and graduated from Anniston High School (Class of 1989). She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church and later the Celebration Center. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Lockett. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Dave Money; a loving father, Ted Lockett, of Atlanta; sisters, Anita Gaddis (Charles Jr.), of Anniston, Vilda Hayes (Ron), of Conyers, Ga., Laura Lockett, of Portland, Ore., Rose Lockett, of Nazareth, Pa.; and a host of relatives, extended family and friends. Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home, Inc. were in charge of the arrangements.

GLENCOE — Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 28, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Chapel for Kelsi Nicole Nettles, 14, who passed away Saturday July 25, 2008. The Rev. Billy Boatwright and The Rev. Phil Willingham will officiate. Burial will be at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Chapel is in charge. Kelsi attended Glencoe Middle School, finishing the 8th grade and going into the 9th. She was a cheerleader. Kelsi accepted the Lord in December of 2006. She was a very loving person and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Eugene P. Watson of Anniston and Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Nettles of Eastaboga. She is survived by her father, Donald Nettles of Glencoe; mother, Kristi Roberson of Gadsden; sister, Graci Elizabeth Nettles of Glencoe; grandparents, Ray and Nancy (Watson) Nettles, of Glencoe, Jan Ingram of Gadsden; great- grandparents, Jonnie and Joyce Wade of Gadsden; aunt, Mary Nettles of Glencoe; cousin, Dallyn Bennefield of Glencoe; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend, Brook Eisenhardt of Glencoe and special great aunt, Imogene Sprayberry of Anniston.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Flowers will be accepted. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to the time of service Tuesday.

TURNER

TALLADEGA — Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Turner, 92, will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary. Mrs. Turner died July 26, 2008, at her residence.
