Eleanor J. Cason, Gadsden GADSDEN — Funeral services for Eleanor J. Cason, 67, of Gadsden, will be at Crestwood Funeral Home with The Bro. David Chandler officiating. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Mrs. Cason died Saturday at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe R. Cason; father, Elmer J. Holley; mother, Mable H. Holley; grandson, Blake Cason; father and mother-in-law, Avery and Virginia Cason. She is survived by her sons, Jonathan (Pam) Cason, Tim (Georgia) Cason, daughters, Beth Malone and Donna (Tim) Farlow; grandchildren, Brandon and Scott Cornelison, Kelli Cason, Tyler and Haley Cason, Matthew Conkle, and Jacob Farlow; brother, Jackie Holley; sister, Lou Ricks; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, along with her sister-in-law, Margaret Cornelius. She was retired from the K-Mart corporation, was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Little Mountain Marina. Pallbearers will be Matthew Conkle, Scott Cornelison, Tyler Cason, John Cornelius, Joe Morris and Bob Ricks. Honorary pallbearers will be Medical staff at Dr. Thompson's office. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge. MUNFORD — Services for Mr. Charles Cupp, Jr., 77, of Munford, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. John Waites officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Mr. Cupp passed away Saturday at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Sanders and husband, Cliff, of Munford; four sons, Robert Cupp and wife, Sara, of Columbus, Ga., Shane Reaves and wife, Cibil, of Calhoun, Ga., Charlie Cupp and wife, Jennifer, of Lenlock, and John Andrew Cupp, of Munford; one sister, Lovace Whirley, of Virginia; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Cupp is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie C. and Carren C. Cupp; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Cupp; two sisters, Grace Winn and Catherine Baggett; and one brother, Lawrence Cupp. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Cupp, Jr., Kenneth Carter, Roy Crow, John Cupp, Neil Nelson, and Phillip Haynes. Mr. Cupp was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Munford and of the Baptist faith. He retired after many years of well digging for home well systems. (256) 236-3441 TALLADEGA — Funeral services for Rex Allen Eberhart, 56, beloved husband and best friend of Rebecca, of Talladega, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Walker's Chapel in Fort Payne with the Rev. Chris Murdock officiating. Burial will follow at Walker's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at Gray-Brown Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Eberhart died Sunday morning at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Eberhart; mother, Rachel Odell Simpson Eberhart, of Dogtown; sister, Delena Ervin, of Dogtown; brother, Donald Lee Eberhart and wife, Charlotte, of Winder, Ga.; nieces, Dana Wright, Tiffany Ervin, Stephanie Ford and Jennifer Williamson; nephews, Jeff Eberhart, Jayce Ervin and Joshua Parton. Mr. Eberhart is preceded in death by his father, Homer Lee Eberhart. Pallbearers will be C.D. Holt, Jayce Ervin, Jeff Eberhart, Larry Simpson, Garry Simpson and P.D. McMichen. Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers at Anniston Army Depot. Mr. Eberhart was a native of Dogtown, Ala. and a member of Ruhama Baptist Church. He retired as an Electronics Mechanic from Anniston Army Depot after 33 years of service; he noted at his retirement ceremony that his best moment during those years was finding his wife. He was an avid Alabama fan, and his favorite past times included caring for his lawn and enjoying the sun. Mrs. Gaston died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Lanett. Survivors include one step-daughter, Avery (Bill) Morrison, of Pensacola, Fla.; three step-grandchildren, Bob (Annette) Morrison, of Pensacola, Emmie (Tommy) Kines, of Sylacauga and Wanda Gail Bulloch, of Anniston; her beloved sister and care-giver, Mae Lipham, of Lanett; sisters, Joyce White, of Valley and Mildred Triplett, of Wedowee; brother, Ed Sutton, of Wedowee; sister-in-law, Cordell Sutton, of Oxford; four step-great-grandchildren; 15 nieces and nephews; 31 great-nieces & great-nephews; 13 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Pallbearers will be Steve Lipham, Tim White, Tim Pitts, Paul Triplett, Jimmy Triplett and Jeff Sutton. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Gaston was born May 31, 1914, daughter of Lonnie Steven and Belle Allen Sutton. She was a member of Pinetucky Baptist Church for 81 years and attended Huguley Baptist Church while living in Lanett. She was a homemaker and well known as a wonderful cook. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Gaston; sister, Beulah Reaves; and brother, Grady Sutton. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of the arrangements. He was a long time member of the Oxford chapter of The Lions Club as well as a volunteer fireman for many years. Mr. Prestridge is preceded in death by his parents, John and Nannie Prestridge; wife, Mary Prestridge; three sisters; brother; and great-granddaughter, Montana Prestridge. Mr. Prestridge is survived by his children, Billy W. Prestridge (Glenda), Sue P. Thompson (Jim); grandchildren, Anita Thompson, Linda S. Walker, Glenn Thompson (Ginger), Laura T. Reaves (Aaron), Billy W. Prestridge, Jr., (Angie), and Chrystal P.
