HOBBS

ANNISTON — Graveside services for Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Richardson Hobbs, 94, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Forestlawn Gardens with the Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mrs. Hobbs passed away Wednesday at Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hobbs was born in Anniston on June 1, 1914. She had lived in Fort Meyers, Fla. for 10 years and had lived in Anniston and Oxford most of her life. She was a member of the Elizabeth Spearman Chapter 81 of the Eastern Star. She loved to Square Dance until her 60s. She was a member of Saks Church of Christ. She was employed by Model and Anniston Laundry. She is survived by her caregivers, niece, Dorothy Harper, of Birmingham; two nephews, Harold Richardson, of Attalla and Charley Richardson and wife, Claudette, of Ohatchee; friends, Virginia Drake and Ellen Bice; other

Survivors included many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Buster Hughes, Donald Ginn, Colton Richardson, Mike Medders, Charles Stegall, and Donald Clay. Mrs. Hobbs is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Russell Hobbs; her parents, William Thomas and Willie Ford Richardson; one sister, Edna Richardson Hightower; five brothers, Ernest, Fred, Roy, Pirl, and Clarence Richardson.

ALEXANDER CITY — Funeral services for Mary Sue Norris McNeal, 62, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday at Great Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Armour's Memorial Gardens.

MILNER

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mr. Damon "Chilly D" Milner, 36, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Miracle The Revival Temple with Pastor Walter Carr officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in Piedmont with Anniston Funeral services in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Milner died on July 8, 2008 at Stringfellow Hospital in Anniston.

Survivors include one daughter, Jamie N. Jackson of Anniston; his mother Margaret (Sam) Miller, of Anniston; three sisters, Shewannie (Larry) Ragland, Cassandra McDonald, both of Anniston and Michelle Milner, of Detroit, Mich.; brother, Roderick Milner, of Detroit, Mich.; six stepsisters, Jacqueline Taylor, Delilah Miller, Millicent (James) Carson, Robin Miller, Sandra Miller, and Sonya (William) Butler; two stepbrothers, Dale (Shirley) Satcher, of Gainsville, Fla., Sam Miller III, of Anniston; grandmother, Ora McDonald, of Piedmont. Mr. Milner was a life long resident and attended Thankful Baptist Church in Piedmont and a graduate of Anniston High School and was a very popular D.J. at various clubs in the surrounding area. TALLADEGA — Funeral services for Takori D. Rivers, infant boy, will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary. The infant died July 7, 2008 at Citizens BMC.

WATKINS

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mr. Roosevelt Watkins, 77, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Anniston Funeral services Chapel with The Rev. Frederick Durant officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral services in charge. The body will be at the church until time of services. Mr. Watkins died on July 7, 2008 at Beckwood Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include, one brother, Lonnie (Johnnie) Watkins; sister-in-law, Patricia Ann Watkins; brother-in-law, Bobby Pittman; three nieces, Kathy Pittman, Sherry (Ronnie) Caldwell and Myra Jean Stephen; six nephews, Tim Watkins, Larry Stephens, Neil Watkins, Eric Watkins, Brian McCray and Paul McCray; and one uncle Billy (Retha) Tyler, of Heflin. ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mr. Lamar "Sleepy" Willingham, 66, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Anniston with the Rev. Frank Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral services in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. Mr. Willingham died on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Willingham; children, Nicole Willingham, Lamar Willingham Jr., Sylvester Willingham, Undre (Tammy) Rawls, Derek Lovett, and Tara Woodsall, all of Anniston, Marlo Willingham, of Atlanta, Ga., Pam Morris, of Illinois and Gwenlyn Morris, of Birmingham; 23 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Johnnie (Arthur) Queen, of Maryland, and Mattie Collins, of Washington, DC; one aunt,Sarah Miles of Childersburg, special friends, Tommy Johnson, Peter Miles, and Tommy Zimmerman. Mr. Willingham was a life long resident and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and attended Cobb High School. He was employed at FMC and later became United Defense. YOUNG

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Burgess Young, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverends Truman O'Dell and Finley Holbrook Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Young died July 9, 2008 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Young was a member of Noble Street Baptist Church for 52 years. During that time, she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, served as the Sunday School secretary, and was active in all church activities. She was the co-owner of Goal Post Bar-B-Que from 1973 until 1998. Mrs. Young is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Young, of Anniston; daughter, Barbara Y. OíDell and her husband, The Rev. Truman OíDell, of Anniston; a granddaughter, Kimberly J. OíDell, of Anniston; a special friend, Michele Barile, of Terlizzi, Italy; a brother, Ralph Burgess, of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Hanna and all of the staff on the seventh floor at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Clifton, Jerrell Thrower, Henry Kunkle, Kelly Thrower, David Dillman, and Dr. Boyce Callahan.
