Arlis Sears Bass, Woodland WOODLAND — Funeral services for Arlis Sears Bass, 89, will be at 2 p.m. today from the Bear Creek United Methodist Church with Benefield Funeral Home Wedowee in charge. OXFORD — Funeral services for Mrs. Helen E. Hobbs, 94, will be announced by Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mrs. Hobbs passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in Anniston. WINTER PARK, Fla. — Graveside Rites for Mr. William Charles "Bill" Malone IV, 62, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Usrey. TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Mrs. Ivanette S. Martin, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hepzibah Baptist Church. Visitation from 6-8 tonight at Usrey Funeral Home. ANNISTON — Services for Damon "DJ Chilly-D" Milner, 36, will be announced by Anniston Funeral services. Mr. Milner died July 8, 2008 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Mobley, 66, will be at 2 p.m. today from the chapel of the Folsom Funeral Home. Visitation from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. ANNISTON — A Memorial Service for Mr. Billy D. Nicholson Jr., 62, will be at on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the B. Locke Davis Christian Life Center Chapel of Parker Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverends Tom Price and Tom Bonds officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Nicholson died July 8, 2008 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Billy was a wonderful husband and caretaker for his wife, Jean. He was a very loving dad to his children. He stood by his daughter, Cristy, through her long sickness. He was always there for everyone and he helped and touched many peoplesí lives. He loved his neighbors and fellow man as himself. He spent a lifetime dedicated to Alcoholics Anonymous and to those suffering from alcoholism in this area. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Nicholson is survived by his wife, Charlsie Jean Nicholson of Anniston; daughter, Crystal Stringer and her husband, Danny, of Anniston; sons, Allan Scott Nicholson and his wife, Sherry, of Piedmont, Timothy D. Nicholson of Jacksonville, and Brandon L. Nicholson of Cartersville, Ga.; sisters, Rhonda Martin and her husband, Harold, of Piedmont, and Anita Kay Beecham and her husband, Roy, of Powder Springs, Ga.; brother, Tom Nicholson and his wife, Bonita, of Lincoln; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tim Wells and Dr. Garry Ragsdale officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 5 until 7 at the funeral home. Mr. Tucker died Wednesday at his home. Survivors include his wife, Lee-Ann Tucker; his daughter, Morgan Volz; three sons, Austin Tucker, Trace Tucker and Nathan Tucker; two brothers, Mike Tucker and his wife, Martha, of Ohatchee and Johnny Tucker and his wife, Pam, of Anniston; his nephew, Michael Tucker and his niece, Emma Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde S. and Lottie Tucker and his father-in-law, Ernie Tucker. Pallbearers will be Steve McDill, William Bedwell, Ricky Gibson, Ralph Mange, Greg McDuffie and Brian Bushard. Mr. Tucker was employed by BAE Systems as a Supervisor for over 30 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a 1977 graduate of Saks High School. He was involved in his childrenís activities having served as their coach.
