DENTON

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Jo P. Denton, 92, will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bryan Lowe and Father Bob Sullivan officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service. Mrs. Denton passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, at her home.

Survivors include three daughters, Ann Delmont, of Minnesota, Mary Ardillo, of Mississippi, and Sissy Denton, of Tennessee; one son, Buddy Denton, of Anniston; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scott Ardillo, Joe Delmont, Amy Daniells, Carter Delmont, Kimberly Bohannon, Erin Denton, Frank Delmont, Nick Ardillo, Brian Daniells, J.E. Ingram, and Paul Sedmak. Mrs. Denton is preceded in death by her husband N.C. Denton, M.D., and a son, Mike Denton. Mrs. Denton was a resident of Anniston since 1948. She graduated nursing school in 1938 and worked as a RN at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She was a member of many charitable organizations in Anniston and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1948.

OHATCHEE — Services for Doris Gilmer, 79, will be announced by Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mrs. Gilmer died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at RMC Long-Term Care.

HICKS

ASHVILLE — Graveside services for Georgia Ann Gunnells Hicks, 49, were held Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Carolina Cemetery in Weoka with Ellison Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Ann died Friday, May 2, 2008, at Shelby Medical Center, in Alabaster. She is survived by two sisters, Myra Hannah, of Weaver and Julia Benton, of Wetumpka; one brother, James Gunnells, of Auburn; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, George R. Gunnells and Nell S. Gunnells; and a sister, Patsy Gunnells Lowery.

Pallbearers were family and friends. Ann was a loving sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. She lived and enjoyed life to it's fullest. Ann knew the Lord and gave thanks everyday for what he had done for her. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Especially, Cameron Joiner, her great-nephew, and his friends, Brandon Blackwell, T.J. Copeland, Lucas Slowick and David Hudgins, with whom she spent her weekends. MOODY — Graveside services for Steven T. Hodges, 55, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Concord Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation from 1-3 at Quattlebaum Funeral Home.

JOHNSON

PIEDMONT — Funeral services for Mr. Gene Johnson, 65, will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the chapel of the Folsom Funeral Home. Visitation from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

LOVE

ANNISTON — Graveside services for H. Wayne Love, 67, will be Monday at Anniston Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Randy Postell officiating and Anniston Memorial Funeral Home directing. Mr. Love died Friday, May 9, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Ann T. Love; three children, Kelley Love Daniels and her husband, Craig, of Springville, Patrick Wayne Love and his wife, Benita, of Pell City, Zachary Alan Love and Michelle Morgan, of Anniston; four grandchildren, Conner and Brandon Daniels and Tanner and Ashton Love; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Linda Love, of Anniston; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Philip Little, of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephew, Jeffery Love and his wife, Melissa; niece, Stephanie Scott and her husband, Matt; great nieces and nephews, Mason and Kate Love and Davis Scott and lifelong friends, James and Rita Carlisle.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Martin, James Carlisle, Terry McNeal, Jack Brim, Ken McNeal, John Reynolds, Andy Carlisle and Jeffery Love. Mr. Love was born in Piedmont, educated at Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama, School of Law. He was a member of the Anniston Quarterback Club, Saks Civitan Club, First Baptist Church of Saks and Disciplers Sunday School Class and an avid University of Alabama sports fan. MUNFORD — Services for Ms. Evelyn Mosley, 66, will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary. Ms. Mosley died May 9, 2008 at Citizens BMC.
