Peggy Jean Ramsey Canada, Roanoke ROANOKE — Funeral services for Peggy Jean Ramsey Canada, 63, will be Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel. Visitation, Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., with Quattlebuam Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. HEFLIN — Funeral services for Ms. Debra Ann Ligon Cavender, 51, will be 11 am. today at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Bolt and Jeffrey Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens in Anniston. Ms. Cavender passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Pallbearers will be Jason Ligon, Steven Cavender, Shane Young, Stuart Bentley, Allen Cavender and Andy Cavender. Survivors include, two sons, Allen (Angie) Cavender and Andy (Taylor) Cavender, of Heflin; mother, Mary Ligon, of Heflin; father, Wilbur Ligon, of Heflin; sister, Vickie Ligon, of Heflin; two brothers, Brian Ligon and Terry Ligon, of Heflin; grandchildren, Roland Cavender, Aidan Cavender, Drew Cavender and Emma Cavender, several nieces and nephews. Ms. Cavender, a life long resident of Cleburne County, was the Breakfast Manager of Jack's Family Restaurant in Oxford. She attended Word Alive International Outreach Church. Mrs. Langston died Sunday at Long Term Hospital of Anniston. She is survived by her husband, Carry G. Parris, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Patricia Brown and her husband (LaFayette) and Sandra Myers; one son, Randall Parris and his wife (Brenda), all of Jacksonville; one brother, Dewey Lowman, of Albertville; four grandchildren, Jerred Brown and his wife (Keely), of Dothan, Ben Myers, Drew Myers and Megan Parris; several nieces and nephews.
