Peggy Davidson Cheatwood, Lake Wales, Fla. LAKE WALES, Fla. — Peggy Davidson Cheatwood, of Lake Wales, Florida, formerly of Anniston, Alabama passed away from breast cancer on April 27, 2008 surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Leaving behind a husband of 56 years W.C. Cheatwood, six daughters, Paula Ward, of Davenport, Fla., Deborah Everett, of Indian Lake Estates, Fla., Linda Ballard, of Interprise, Darlene Suggs (Robert), of Plant City, Fla., Freda Horn (Ricky) of Plant City, Fla., Vera Heitanen (Todd), of Knoxville, Tenn.; one stepson, Lee Cheatwood, of Ohatchee; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Davidson, of Birmingham, and Bud Davidson, of Gadsden; two sisters, Sarah Oswalt, of Saks, and Theresa Gail Zeigler, of Ohatchee; and a brother-in-law, Gene Burgess, of Saks. Preceded in death by her parents, Marc and Reba Davidson; sisters Rosemary Crabtree and Betty Burgess; brother, Jack Davidson and son-in-law, Larry Ballard. We wish to thank friends and neighbors for all there love and support. Also, Thank you goes out to the Good Shepherd Hospice. Upon cremation we will be having a private Memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of Peggy. ANNISTON — Memorial services for James Jude Cunningham, 57, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Jacksonville. Mr. Cunningham died Thursday at Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his mother, Sue Steinbroner ,of Hornell, N.Y.; a daughter, Kari Cunningham Burroughs, of Ellicottville, N.Y.; a son, Khristan Cunningham and his wife, Gwynn, of Asheville, N.C.; four brothers, Timothy Cunningham and his wife, Veronica, of Austin, Texas, Christopher Cunningham and his wife, Patricia, of Hornell, Patrick Cunningham and his wife, Sue, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Benjamin Cunningham and his wife, Carol, of Anniston; a sister, Gail Talbett and her husband, Robert, of Canisteo, N.Y.; grandchildren, Logan Burroughs and Sylvia Burroughs, both of Ellicottville, and James Cashel Cunningham, of Asheville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Cunningham was born June 17, 1950 in Salamanca, N.Y., and had lived in New York, Rhode Island, Florida, and North Carolina. He had lived in Anniston for the past four years. He was of the Catholic faith, and worked as a carpenter most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was proud of his service with the Seabees. He was a member of Anniston Post No. 26 of the American Legion, Anniston Moose Lodge 1669 and Dixie Unit No. 115 of the Alabama Moose Legion. He was preceded in death by his father John Jay Cunningham and a sister, Theda Cunningham. He had a passion for golf and billiards and was known for his wry sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Ollie Warren, Maeola Allinder and Elaine Ellis; great-grandfather, George Ellis. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandparents, Linda and Wayne Warren, of Gulf Shores, John Harrison, of Fairhope, Doris Lewis, of Foley; two aunts, Alison Franklin, of Gulf Shores, and Jennifer Harrison, of Fairhope; three uncles, Matthew Warren, of Gulf Shores, John Ellis, of Cullman, and Andrew Ellis, of Fairhope; cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be at Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, Ala. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Ms. Prickett died Sunday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation. She is survived by two sisters, Novie P. Manor, of Jacksonville and Mary Snelling, of Ohatchee; two brothers, Grover Prickett Jr. and his wife, Myris, of Ohatchee and Marshall Prickett and his wife, Margaret, of Jacksonville; six nieces; and 10 nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Faith Sunday School Class. Ms. Prickett was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of Angel Grove Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Alexandria High School, a beautician and a caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. and Beulah Prickett and a brother, Sargent Prickett.
