Deacon Robert Lee Adams, Anniston ANNISTON Funeral services for Deacon Robert Lee Adams, age 94, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Anniston, with the Rev. Ronnie C. Beavers officiating. Burial will be in the Anniston Memorial Gardens in Anniston with Anniston Funeral services in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. Mr. Adams died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Stringfellow Hospital in Anniston. Survivors include, his wife, Callie Adams, son, LeMoyne Adams, daughter, Carolyn Adams Rudolph, four grandchildren; Sherita Rudolph, who preceded him in death; Alisa Adams, of Buffalo, N.Y., Eric Rudolph, of Hunstville, and Vincent Adams, and one great-granddaughter, both of Buffalo, N.Y., Gabrielle Outling, of Buffalo, N.Y., special friend and sister, Vera Coleman. Mr. Adams was a Talladega native and a retired educator from the Anniston School System. He taught in both Calhoun and Talladega Counties. He attended a private Presbyterian School and South Highland High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from State Agricultural and Mechanical Institute (Alabama A & M University) and his Master of Education Degree from Alabama State University. He was a member of the Zeta Mu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma and he was also a Mason. "You have our deepest sympathy." She is survived by her husband, Curtis Reaves; three daughters, Diane Malsy and her husband, Danny, of Jacksonville; Becky Price, of Jacksonville; Shirley Ward, and her husband, Perre, of Saks; three sons, Joe Reaves and his wife, Mary Lee, of Glencoe; Michael Reaves, and his wife, Jeannie, of Jacksonville; Darryl Reaves, his wife, Rhonda, of Jacksonville; one sister, Ruth Smith, of Jacksonville; one brother, Gene Hooks, of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
