BETHEA

JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Reba Louise Tolleson Bethea, 80, will be 4 p.m. today, April 12, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville with the The Rev. Dr. Bill Etheridge officiating and K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center directing. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church today one hour prior to service. Mrs. Bethea died Thursday at Jacksonville Health & Rehab. She is survived by three daughters, Shirlene Bethea Herb and her husband, Guy, Beverly Bethea Almaroad and her husband, Mike and Lynn Bethea Ayers and her husband, Raymond, all of Jacksonville; two sons, Perry Walker Bethea III and his wife, Ellen of Jacksonville and Guy Tolleson Bethea and his wife, Beverly, of Montgomery; one brother, Wilbur Tolleson; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Almaroad, Mason Almaroad, Cailey Almaroad, Luke Almaroad and Eric Heinen; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Bethea's grandsons, Drew Scthe Reven, Griffin Herb, Corey Almaroad, Clint Herb, Brad Almaroad, Tyler Almaroad, Joshua Bethea, Nick Bethea, Zach Pearce, Wesley Bethea and Bryntly Bethea. Honorary pallbearers will be The Ruth Circle of First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville and her granddaughters, Sarah Scthe Reven, Tabitha Pearce and Taylor Bethea. Mrs. Bethea was a member of the First United Methodist Church, an office volunteer, a member of her beloved Sunday School Class and the Ruth Circle. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Perry and Reba Bethea owned and operated Bethea Furniture Company in Jacksonville for 28 years. Perry and Reba were a fun-loving couple and well known by many in Jacksonville. They enjoyed entertaining friends at their home for many years. Also, they enjoyed traveling the world. Reba was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. She was loved dearly by all who knew her and had a great love for animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry W. Bethea Jr., her parents, Neal and Zera Tolleson, baby daughter, Elizabeth Ann Bethea, five sisters, and one brother. DEMPSEY

MUNFORD — Mrs. Mona Kay Dempsey, 50, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at her home in Munford. Mrs. Dempsey was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Munford. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Danny Dempsey, of Munford; sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel Dempsey, of Munford and Scott and Sabrina Dempsey, of Jacksonville; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Brock Pate, of Oxford; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Wayne Conner, of Oxford; brothers and sister-in-law, Guy Snider and Keith Snider, both of Eastaboga, and Jeff and Emily Snider, of Lincoln; half-sister, Laura Jean Eaton, of Eastaboga; stepbrother, Gerald Pettis, of Eastaboga; five grandchildren, Allison Dempsey, Mckala and Morgan Dempsey, Dylan and Madisyn Pate; two stepgrandchildren, Emily and Jesse Lawson; one stepgreat-grandchild, Jaylan Lawson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Jewell Stewart Snider and brother, Mitchell Snider. Graveside Rites for Mrs. Dempsey were held Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
