Mr. Catrett - known to everyone as Joe - was born and raised in Crenshaw County, the son of Arthur and Rosa Catrett. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and completed his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at Howard College (now Samford University) under the GI Bill. He was a pharmacist in Calhoun County for over 50 years and proprietor of Lenlock Drugs for 20 of those years.
