An Alexandria man found a bullet hole in the side of his home Saturday, but sheriff’s deputies aren’t sure who did the shooting.

The man reported the incident after hearing a loud noise while inside his home on the 200 block of Gate 5 Road in Alexandria at around 3:15 p.m.  Saturday, said Calhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson.

The homeowner found the bullet hole, but said he did not see who shot at his home, Amerson said, and neighbors also said they didn’t see the incident.

“The bullet went through a couple of interior walls,” Amerson said. “There were no witnesses and we have no suspects.”
