The Calhoun County Commission and the Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency will hold a community input meeting Tuesday to gather opinions about several varieties of protective hoods.County officials are promoting the hoods - essentially gas masks - as a protective measure for residents living nearest the chemical weapons stockpile at Anniston Army Depot.
"We have not selected a hood yet," said Delois Champ, county EMA operations manager. "We are still looking at several options."
The meeting is not open to the general public, Ms. Champ said. Commissioners have asked several residents from each district to attend the meeting and offer input on the hoods, she said.
The meeting will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Calhoun County Extension Auditorium.
