Home and garden Q&A

How can I get Mop & Glo acrylic wax off a linoleum floor? Reckitt Benckiser, the company that makes Mop & Glo, recommends removing the buildup with a mixture of one-quarter cup Lysol All Purpose Cleaner (without bleach), one cup ammonia and one-half gallon of warm water. Make sure you don't use Lysol cleaner with bleach, because the combination of bleach and ammonia produces toxic gases. The company recommended spreading the mixture over the whole floor with a cloth or sponge mop and letting it dry. While I couldn't get an answer on what to do next, I imagine you'd need to rinse and mop up the residue. If the floor looks splotchy after the first application, repeat. |
