Cassell-Ray vows are spoken in Saks

Misty Faith Cassell and Brandon James Ray were married on March 22 at p.m. the First Baptist Church of Saks.

Dr. Randy Postell performed the ceremony. A reception followed at the Jacksonville State University Stadium Club. Music was provided by Rev. Randall Reeves, pianist, Rusty Thrasher, guitarist, Stephen Reeves, trumpeter, Rev. Allen Hudson, soloist and Timothy King, soloist. Scripture was read by Rev. Rodney Prickett and Sara Underwood. Parents of the bride are John and Twylia Cassell of Jacksonville. Parents of the groom are Jimmy and Rhonda Ray of Lincoln. Grandparents of the bride are William and Carolyn Lovvorn of Oxford, the late Dot Lovvorn and the late William and Adelle Cassell.

Grandparents of the groom are Mary Calhoun of Lincoln, the late Frank Calhoun, Charlie and Dorothy Long of Oxford, Sarah Ray of Pell City and the late Hershel Ray.

Bridesmaids were Candy Christopher Brown, Angela Estes Ganshaw, Kelly McWhorter Herndon, Amber Nicole Law, Emily Williams Messer, Jordan Leigh Ray, sister of the groom and Hannah Beth Thrasher, niece of the bride. Matron of honor was Amiee Cassell Thrasher, sister of the bride. Flower girl was Madelyn Renee Messer.

Groomsmen were Kevin Johnson, Greg Morgan, Bradley Ponder, Rush Rutledge and Hunter Thrasher, nephew of the bride. Best man was Jimmy Ray, father of the groom.

The bride wore a formal gown of ivory lace featuring a “V” neckline and back, full A-line skirt with an attached semi cathedral length train. The dress was accented at the natural waistline with a beaded belt. She carried a brooch bouquet that included brooches given to her by family and friends. After a trip to Charleston and Savannah, the couple resides in Jacksonville.
