Crossfit Thelo on Alabama 204 is approaching its three-month anniversary and has begun an expansion.
“We’re so blessed to have the people from this area support this affiliate and work so hard to help grow it to where it is today,” said one of the owners, Brian Nelson. “We truly feel like we are a family. We work hard together, support each other and push one another to get better at life. And, that’s what crossfit is all about.”
Nelson said he is and the co-owners strive to build muscles and improve the quality of life for their clients.
“Now that ordinary people, like myself, are realizing that you don’t have to be a superstar athlete to do crossfit, but only a desire to get better, Crossfit Thelo has exploded,” said Nelson.
He said the facility programs in a way that elite athletes will be challenged and improve as well as someone who hasn’t tried physical fitness in years.
“It’s never too late to start,” said Nelson. “It only takes the mindset of ‘I owe this to myself and my family to improve.’ ”
Nelson said he wants to continue to invite the community to visit Cross Thelo.
Carlton Weathers and his wife, Aimee, have been going since it opened.
“The best way to describe the box is the word encouraging,” said Weathers. “Tim and Bryan do an excellent job of teaching personal wellness, training us in the technique involved in high intensity training so that we do not put ourselves in danger, and pushing us to reach our greatest potential.”
Weathers said when he leaves the box he has a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. If you have a desire to get in the best shape of your life, then I highly recommend joining Crossfit Thelo.”
