After what turned out to be an exhausting day of softball, the Jacksonville Rehab Partners 10U girls’ softball team came back from a first game loss to win the White Plains Invitational.
In the double-elimination tournament, Rehab Partners lost their first game on Thursday night to Oxford, dropping them into the losers bracket.
The team didn’t play again until Saturday morning and won six straight games against Clay County, Weaver, Oxford, White Plains and Pleasant Valley twice to win the championship.
With weather delays it took over fifteen hours to get all the games played, with the final win coming after midnight.
The team had top pitching from Anna Seeger and Breena Stone was behind the plate.
In addition to Seegar and Stone, other members of the team consisted of Jacie Brackett, Kaitlin Hamm, Shelby Salmon, Bailee Pritchett, Kaitlin Clark, Audrey Keeton, Lyric Hunt, Chloe Fuller, Karlie Boyd and Helen Carter.
The team was coached by Shaun Seegar and assistants Blake Hamm and Coley Pritchett.
