Chris Whigham of Eugene Turner General Contractors warms his hands at a fire in a 55-gallon drum at the Oxford High School gymnasium construction site. The foreman gave the men the option of working on such a cold day or staying home. Some stayed home, Chris and a few others braved the weather to work.
