On May 10, the Pell City Players will again present Dearly Departed, a southern comedy, written by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones.

In the play, the beleaguered Turpin family proves that living and dying in the backwoods of the Deep South are seldom tidy and always hilarious. Problems at the father's funeral keep overwhelming the solemn occasion. Raynelle (the wife) deals with numerous family problems in her family and turns for comfort to friends and neighbors, an eccentric community of misfits, to help them in their hours of need.
