Noble Street Festival begins Friday with Anniston Alive: Downtown Dance Night

Kick up your heels for the Noble Street Festival kick off Friday night with Anniston Alive: Dance Night Downtown. This celebration of art and dance will take place from 6-10 p.m. and features dancing, music and all kinds of art.

The Birmingham Swing Dancers, Anniston Country Western Dance and Social Club and the Swinging Stars of Anniston plan to dance the night away while teaching their moves to all willing participants.

Once you're done boogying down, take a walk over to the Art Works Gallery on Noble Street for their latest open house and exhibition. They will be featuring the four newest members — David Cummings, Jason Zwierzchowski, Tommy Moorehead and Jamie Huckaby.

Other artists and their wares will be set up along Noble Street for a sidewalk art show. There will also be the Bike pARTs contest, where one-of-a-kind sculptures made from recycled bike parts will be displayed and judged.

Birmingham Swing Dancers — parking lot of 11th and Noble Streets

Anniston Country Western Dance and Social Club — parking lot of 10th Street and Atlanta Avenue

Swinging Stars of Anniston — parking lot of 10th Street and Wilmer Avenue

There will be more dancing in various downtown locations.
