No doubt hoping to capitalize on Juno's DVD release next week, Miramax is unleashing this minor Sundance hit, which casts new indie darling Ellen Page as the rebellious daughter of depressed college professor Lawrence Wetherhold, played by a bearded Dennis Quaid. When Lawrence suffers a head injury, he's forced to welcome his eccentric brother (Thomas Haden Church) back into his home to take over driving duties and other household chores. Sarah Jessica Parker also turns up as the nurse who was a former student of Wetherhold's and always had a crush on the big galoot. It must be the beard.
