My trip/By Patsy Body: When I saw the dedication of the Billy Graham Library on TV last summer, I immediately added it to my list of places I really wanted to visit. The dedication ceremony took place on May 31, 2007. It was attended by Billy Graham, his family, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association team members, entertainers and three former presidents — Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
As you walk through the library, theater presentations and multimedia exhibits chronicle Graham's journey from farm boy to Wheaton College (where he met his wife, Ruth) to his first tent revival to international ambassador of God's love. Learning about a man dedicated to his message for more than 60 years is a moving and inspirational experience. Few can walk through the library and not be touched by his steadfast dedication.
There is no admission charge and you will be given a beautiful souvenir ticket.
We also received a DVD of the dedication ceremony. A gift shop, Ruth's Attic, is in the lobby of the library and sells books by the Graham family and gift items.
