Lauryn Howell, a third-grader at Pleasant Valley Elementary School, recently grew a 27-pound cabbage as part of the cabbage program at school. The event was sponsored by Bonnie Plants Farm. She is the daughter of Jaclyn Howell and the granddaughter of Mike and Sandra Howell of Jacksonville.
