Descendants of James Bailey Reed are in search of any known relatives of his, Ed Reed or Earnest Reed. Relatives of Ed Reed settled in the Anniston area in the early 1800s before the Civil War possibly coming from Tennessee, Virginia or the Carolinas. Earnest Reed settled in northern Louisiana. The family is trying to compile some genealogical information and would appreciate any help in this matter. Anniston Noon Rotary Club seeks area professionals for Goodwill exchange to Brazil in March and April of 2009. The Calhoun County Water and Fire Protection Authority is planning a public meeting for its customers and the public to review parts of its Source Water Assessment for the Choccolocco Well. Friendship Community Center new dance and gymnastic (tumbling) classes are to begin Tuesday. The new instructor is Leigh Ann Wilder. Call 452-3338 to schedule your class time.
