The White Plains Alumni Association, White Plains, held its annual class reunion banquet in the lunchroom of White Plains High School in May. The White Plains Alumni Association 2008 officers include, left to right, Brittney Cunningham, president; Billy Couch, secretary; Brenda Morgan, treasurer; Martha Jones and Mary Elizabeth Robertson, members-at-large. Not pictured is Billy Ward, vice president.

White Plains High School class of 1948 held a banquet recently. Members in attendance were, left to right, Ruby Hall Murray, Josie Pearl Love Schiebler of Atlantic Beach, Fla., Betty Jo Cheatwood Roberts and Merlene Dothard Stephens. The White Plains High School class of 1948 had 12 graduates, all girls.

White Plains Alumni Association recently awarded three $1,000 scholarships to three White Plains High School seniors. Recipients included, left to right, Latasha Sturkie, Morgan White and Jessie Phillips. Sturkie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Sturkie of Choccolocco. White received the Daniel Davenport Athletic Scholarship. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Micheal White of DeArmanville. Phillips is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Hubbard of White Plains.
