Adam Morris recently graduated with cum laude honors from General Motors Institute/Kettering University in Flint, Mich. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and was the 2003 valedictorian of Wellborn High School. He plans to pursue a career as a quality engineer for Honda Manufacturing in Lincoln. He is the son of Dean and Becky Morris of Coldwater.
Brandi L. Carpenter of Alexandria was recently awarded a bachelor of science degree in business from Kaplan University in Davenport, Iowa.
Emily Michelle Bagwell of Jasper was recently named an All-American Scholar. She attends Hope Christian School. She is the daughter of Mike and Joyce Bagwell of Jasper and the granddaughter of Mrs. Bobbye McMasters of Anniston and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Bagwell Jr. of Carbon Hill.
Jacob Bagwell of Jasper was recently selected for membership to The National Society of High School Scholars. He is the son of Mike and Joyce Bagwell of Jasper, and the grandson of Mrs. Bobbye McMasters of Anniston and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.W Bagwell Jr. of Carbon Hill.
Christina Hinton, a native of Anniston, recently received a bachelor of science in biology at Auburn Montgomery's summer semester commencement.
The United Freewill Baptist Church in Anniston recently celebrated its 50th year of services with "The Browning Family" of Tuscaloosa as special singers. Garrett Anderson, 9-year-old grandson of church pianist Jane Preston, his brother, dad and uncles also performed.
Local resident Otis 'Pokey' Warren recently signed with MRB Records Corp. to produce and distribute his DVD video titled Declare His Glory. The DVD is a collection of photographs made by Warren, with inspirational music and scriptures.
