Senior Master Sgt. Michael T. Brooks, a 1986 graduate of Anniston High School, recently graduated from the Senior Non-Commission Academy. The highest Air Force enlisted academy and was recently promoted to E-8 the second highest enlisted rank in the United State Air Force. He is currently the 432 Wing Weapons manager in charge of the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle weapons systems. He is the son of Mary Brooks of Anniston.

Nathan Wade Forbus recently enlisted in the U.S. Army. He completed basic training in May and will be trained in Gulfport, Miss., as a construction engineer. He is a 2006 graduate of Saks High School and is the son of Dennis and Marsha Forbus.

Timothy Jones, a graduate of Jacksonville High School and a 1984 graduate of West Point Academy, was promoted to a full Colonel in July 2007. He will take over as Post Commander at Ft. Weinwright in Fairbanks, Alaska, in July. He and his wife, Theresa, have three children, Megan, Johnny and Daniel. He is the son of Lotice Jones of Jacksonville and the late John H. Jones.
