Brown/Golden engagement

Colonel and Mrs. Richard Holmes Brown of Huntsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Lynn Brown, to Alexander Douglas Golden, son of Dr. and Mrs. Roger Dean Golden of Prattville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. John A. Vanderford of Jacksonville.

Miss Brown is a 2004 graduate of Grissom High School. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham on May 3 with a bachelor's degree in biology. She will continue her studies at UAB pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Mr. Golden graduated from Autauga Academy in Prattville in 2003. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in marketing and finance. He is employed by Regions Bank in Birmingham as a business analyst.

The wedding will be at 2 p.m. on June 14 at the Whitesburg Baptist Church Chapel in Huntsville.

If you wish to include a photo, please submit original prints that are at least 3x5 inches and in focus. We cannot return photos, but will hold them for 30 days after publication for pick-up.
