The recent postponement of a planned series between Alabama and Georgia Tech's football teams in 2013 and 2014 has opened a three-year window for the Crimson Tide, meaning it can negotiate a home-and-home series against a high-profile non-conference opponent after Penn State goes off the schedule after 2011.
But from the sound of it, Alabama is going another directon, leaning toward resuming the practice of neutral-site games that marked the past two seasons.
