The Birmingham News reports that two legislators will testify that they wore wires and have recorded conversations in which campaign contributions were offered for yes votes on the electronic bingo bill.
The lawmakers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed Tuesday that they have been subpoenaed to authenticate recordings of conversations between themselves, other lawmakers and lobbyists.
Sources familiar with the probe into bingo legislation said they expect federal prosecutors to produce for the grand jury recordings of conversations obtained through a variety of means, including wire taps.
