Experts: Losing tanker contract blow for state
Economic development experts said that losing the $35 billion government contract in Mobile is a blow for the entire state.
Ron Scott, executive director of the Economic Development Association of Alabama, said that he hasn't been as disappointed as he was Thursday evening since German automaker Volkswagen announced in 2008 that it would build a plant in Tennessee, not Alabama.
